Abstract

Learning English as a second language presents several challenges, including limited vocabulary, lack of practice opportunities, and fear of making mistakes. Non-native speakers often face difficulties in expressing themselves due to inadequate word knowledge, which affects their confidence and fluency. Limited exposure to English outside the classroom further reduces opportunities for meaningful practice, slowing their progress. Moreover, anxiety about making errors, especially in front of others, can discourage active participation. Participants in this context have found that immersive learning, such as engaging with English media or conversing with native speakers, proves highly effective in improving language skills. Peer collaboration through group discussions or language exchange programs provides a supportive space for practice. Additionally, digital tools like language apps and online courses offer flexible and accessible learning options. These strategies help learners build confidence and proficiency while enabling educators to create a more engaging and supportive learning environment.
